Dr.A.Arockiarajan, Fellowship University of Nottingham, UK & visiting scientist, department of applied Mechanics, IIT, Chennai was the chief guest for inaugural function and Dr.M.Paramasivam, Scientist, CECRI, Karaikudi was the chief guest for the valedictory function.

Department of EEE organized a National Level Technical Symposium POWERGALE’07 on 31 st January 2007. Mr.A.Nandhagopal, Executive Engineer (O&M), TNEB was the chief guest.

Department of Computer Applications organized a 3 days Rural Development Programme on “Computer Awareness Programme and Training for Unemployed Rural Youth” during 1-3 February, 2007. Rev.Fr.M.Vincent Amalraj, Head Master St.Mary’s Hr.Sec.School, Dindigul was the chieg guest.

An industrial conference on “Entrepreneurship on Herbal and Medicinal Plants” by Government of Tamil Nadu through its District Industrial Centre, Dindigul was organized in Association with PSNA Farmers Club and PSNACET. Thirumathi R.Vasuki, IAS, District collector, Dindigul was the chief guest.

Department of ECE & Mechanical Engineering jointly organized a two days workshop on “MECHATRONICS” on 16,17 February 2007. The Programme was Sponsored by ISTE and Vi-Microsystems, Chennai.

Department of Management Studies organized a National Conference on “Emerging Issues and Challenges in Management” on 17 th February 2007. Mr.B.T.Bangera, Managing Director, Hi-Tech Arai Ltd, Madurai was the chief guest.

A one day workshop on “Software Testing” was jointly organized by ISTE Chapter and Department of Computer Applications on 17 th February 2007. Mr.Shrinivas Kulkarni, Senior Test Manager, iGate Global Solutions Ltd., Bangalore and Mr.Manohar Tatavarthy, Agile Technologies, Bangalore were the resource persons.

Department of Management Studies organized a Guest lecture on “Professional Excellence for Management Students” on 20 th February 2007. Dr.D.Dhanapal, Director, Sona School of Management, Salem delivered the guest lecture.

The Nineteenth Graduation Day will be held in the college campus on Saturday 10 th March 2007 at 9.00 A.M.

PSNACET, Dindigul & Rotary Club of Dindigul jointly organized a seminar on “Integrated Solid Waste Management-A Scenario in India” on 24 th February 2007 at SMBM Matriculation School, Dindigul. Mr.K.S.Mahesh Kumar, Lecturer in Civil Engineering delivered a lecture on the above subject.

The Department of CSE organized a Symposium CYBERRAAGA’07 on 27 th February 2007. Dr.V.Ponraj, Director (Technology Interface) President’s Office, Rashtrapati Bhavan, was the chief guest and has given the keynote address.

The Department of IT organized a National level Technology Festival ZERONE’07 on 1 ST March 2007. Shri.Sivakumar Ganapathy, Domain Lead, ITSS, Honeywell Technology Solutions, was the chief guest and delivered inaugural address. Shri.Raja Mohan Ramanathan, AGM, Dalmia Group of Industries, delivered the valedictory address.

The Department of Civil Engineering organized the Valedictory Function of Society of Civil Engineers on 22 nd March 2007. Dr.M.G.Sethuraman, M.Sc, Ph.D, Co-ordinator, L Ramp Projects Gandhigramam Rural University, Gandhigramam was the chief guest and delivered the valedictory address.

PSNACET Boys Hostel Students organized Hostel Day “Ithya Osai ‘07” on 24 th March 2007. Thiru.Mullai Nadavarasu, Kavignar Mura and Pulavar Sankaralingam were the guest of honors.

AICTE-ISTE Sponsored Short-Term Training Programme on “Advanced Data Base Technology” was organized by Department of Computer Applications during 26-30, March 2007. Dr.Gopinath Ganapathy, MCA., Ph.D., Director, Technology Park, Bharathidasan University, Trichy was the chief guest and delivered the inaugural address.

The Department of EEE organized a Second National Level Technical Conference “PCTCON’07” on 30 th March 2007. Mr.K.S.Sundar, Deputy GM, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Madurai was the chief guest and delivered the inaugural address.

Department of Civil Engineering, Dindigul Society for Disaster Management and Mitigation and Rotary club of Dindigul jointly organised a one day demonstration programme on “Reuse of Waste Plastics in Road Construction” on 7 th July 2007. Dr.R.Vasudeven, Ph.D, Dean, Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai explained the technology. The Collector nominee Mrs.Petchiammal, RDO of Dindigul District was chief guest. Directors Rtn.PHF.R.S.K.Raguraman, Thiru.R.S.K.Sukumaran and the Principal Dr.K.Thyagarajah graced the occasion. A road connecting the College and Hostel was laid using plastic wastage.

Department of Biomedical Engineering and Society of Biomedical Engineers jointly organized the inaugural function of the “MERGE” (Medical Engineers Resourceful Gateway for Enablers) on 18 th July 2007. Dindigul district Badminton Association conducted the District level ranking tournament for the year 2007, at Akshaya Vidyalaya on 14 th and 15 th of July 2007. Our college entered 3 doubles team, and secured the first 3 place.

Dindigul district level rural school boys Kabaddi Tournament for R.S.Kothandaraman Memorial Trophy for the year 2007, held at PSNACET on 18 th to 19 th of July 2007. 13 teams participated. Govt’ Hr. Sec. School, Kannivadi won the trophy.
