  1. The department has been accredited for five years by NBA, New Delhi in 2007 and it has been re-accredited for three years with effect from February 2014.
  2. Recognized as Research Centre by Anna University, Chennai from July 2012 to offer Full-time/Part-time Ph.D/M.S. Programme.
  3. The department has been accredited by software industry Tata Consultancy Services(TCS) and WIPRO for recruitment. 
  4. The department has signed an MoU with the IBM India Private Ltd, Bangalore on 31.10.2018 to provide IBM Software lab for Emerging Technologies on Big Data analytics, Cloud Computing and Mobile Application Development.
  5. The Department has been listed in “THE 10 MOST SCINTILLATING INSTITUTES FOR COMPUTER APPLICATIONS 2018” by The Knowledge Review Magazine of India Edition 2018.
