NATIONAL CADET CORPS

The National Cadet Corps is an Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi, Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course. ” Unity and Discipline” as the motto for the NCC.

PRELUDE

The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and Universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course but are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on the achievements of the corps

OATH

I do hereby solemnly promise that I will serve my mother land most truly and loyally and that, I will abide by the rules and regulations of the National Cadet Corps. Further under the command and control of my commanding officer I will participate in every camp most sincerely and wholeheartedly

PLEDGE

We, the cadet of the national cadet corps, do solemnly pledge that we shall always uphold the unity of India. We resolve to be disciplined and responsible citizens of our nation. We shall undertake positive community service in the spirit of selflessness and concern for our fellow beings.

EMBLEM

NCC flag contains NCC crest in gold in the middle, with the letters NCC encircled by a wreath of seventeen lotus with a background of red (Army), blue (Navy) and light blue (Air force). The seventeen lotuses represent 17 state directorates. MOTTO ; “Ekta aur anushasan” (Unity and discipline) is written at the bottom. The two dots represents Officer Training Academy’s in India they are at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh and Kamptee, Maharashtra, Nagpur .

PSNA-NCC ARMY

The NCC Army unit of PSNA College of Engineering and Technology ,Dindigul is sanctioned on JULY 2022 with 52 students through Fully Self Financing Scheme [FSFS] under 14 TamilNadu Battalion NCC, Dindigul.

Aims of NCC

To develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizen
To create a human resource of organised, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life including the Armed Forces and be always available for the service of the nation
